ADRIEN BORRUAT

Adrien Borruat was born in Switzerland in 1994. He discovered the world of spectacle as a child: in classes at the Elastique Citrique circus school in Nyon from 2001. He discovered theatre a few years later when he joined various troupes (Troupe Théâtrale Trélex, Théâtre de l'Espérance - Genève, Théâtre Musical de Genève).

In 2013, he co-founded Cie Suspension, which explores the various forms of contemporary circus and performs in Swiss theatres and in the context of various festivals (EYCO Festival - Denmark, Sul Filo del Circo à Turin, Festival des Artistes de Rue de Vevey). In 2016, Adrien staged «Les Dévertébrés», a play that brings together 15 young artists from all over Switzerland with the aim of building bridges between the different performing arts.

As cinema is another of his passions, Adrien graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in cinema/documentary cinema from the Haute École d'Art et de Design in Geneva. He then studied Movement Theatre at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Ticino, where he met his stage partner Larissa Wagenhals. He received his diploma in September 2020, the same year he won the Migros Competition for Movement Theatre and works with Karl's Kühne Gassenschau. In addition to the Cie Mario&Mela, he works with the Compagnie Les Diptiks in Fribourg, the TeatroDistinto in Milan and as a dancer with the Operette Sirnach, among others.
