Anastasia Asaben was born and raised in St. Petersburg. She studied at Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in the class of Irina Sitnikova. After her graduation in 2012 she started her career in Mariinsky Theatre, where she continues to dance until this day. Her repertoire includes classical work such as «The Nutcracker» by Vasily Vainonen, “Don Quixote” by Alexander Gorsky, “La Sylphide” choreographed by August Bournonville in the revised version of Elsa-Marianne von Rosen as well as the two opera projects «Sadko» and «Lyudmilla». As a member of the Mariinsky company she already has appeared in several pieces of Ilia Jivoy, amongst others «The Four Seasons» and «Adulte».
