Basil Vollenweider studied general history, musicology and Swiss history (lic. phil.) at the University of Zurich. He works as a freelance historian and musicologist and manages the historical company archive of Geberit. In collaboration with Origen, he conducts research on various historical projects and gives lectures on cultural history. Since 2016, three historical books have been published by Origens Buchverlag: one on the history of the Riomer emigrant family Carisch and two on the history of the Post Hotel Löwe in Mulegns.
