Today, Origen wants to prolong its seasons at Riom Castle and commissioned architect Peter Zumthor with sketching plans to allow the Castle to be used as a venue all year round. Presenting the first drafts, Origen aims to open a public and lively discussion about the development of Riom Castle, the results of which will be considered in any further steps of planning.

A first, idiosyncratic draft has been presented for a redesign which allows the castle to be used as a venue for theatre throughout autumn – and also consistently reinterprets the space as an archaic «salle modulable» that will find its way into the history of theatre.
The redevelopment gives new life to the castle interior. It can be seen from far away – Riom castle is a house of theatre.
