Gala Jovanovic
was born in Belgrad. She studied in Belgrad with Milica Bezmarevic and at the ballet school of the Wiener Staatsoper and Volksoper. In 2007|2008 she became a member of the Ballett at the Wiener Staatsoper and Volksoper. At first she performed at the Volksoper, in 2012|2013 she started performing at the Wiener Staatsoper. In 2015 she was announced semi-soloist. Her most important performances were Queen of the Dryades und Streetdancer in Rudolf Nurejews «Don Quixote», Blaubarts mother in Stephan Thoss' «Blaubarts Geheimnis», as well as parts in Maurice Béjarts «Le Concours», Helen Picketts «Eventide», Nils Christes «Before Nightfall», Christopher Wheeldons «Fool's Paradise», Thierry Malandains «Mozart à 2» and Trevor Haydens «Double Date», William Forsythe «Second Detail».
