Jamal Uhlmann was born and raised in Berlin. He completed his dance training at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin in cooperation with the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch. From 2019-2021 he danced as an Eléve at the Staatsballett Hannover under the ballet direction of Marco Goecke. There he had the opportunity to dance various pieces, as well as participate in many other external projects. In 2021-2022 he was engaged as a dancer with the Italian Aterballetto and expanded his repertoire with choreographies by Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, Diego Tortelli and Eyal Dadon. Since the season 2022/23 he is a permanent company member of the Staatsballett Hannover.

At Origen he dances in Robert Robinsons Ballet «The Artist's Way» (2023).
