JOSE COCA LOZA

The Bolivian base singer began his vocal training with Katia Escalera in Bolivia and with Charles Roe in Arizona, USA. In 2012 he began studying with Marcel Boone at the Universityof Music in Basel. He took master classes with Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli during the Menuhin Festival. In 2011 he won the competitioen «Quest for the best» in Tucson (Arizona) and in 2014 he was awarded the third place at the competition «Oper Schloss Hallwyl» in Switzerland.

He already had performances in the USA and in Bolivia, where he performed parts such as Laeka («Incallajta» by Atiliano Auza Leon), Mr. Kofner («Consul» Menottis), Betto (Puccinis «Gianni Schicchi») and Balthazar («Amahl and the night visitors» by Menotti). He made his debut in Switzerland in 2013 as Sparafucile in «Rigoletto» at Haldenstein and at the Tonhalle Zurich. Subsequently he played the part of Fauteuil in «L'enfant et les sortilèges» by Ravel and performed in Boiedlieus «La dame blanche». In 2015 Jose Coca Loza performed at the closing concert of the Menuhin Festival in Gstadt and at the Christmas Gala of the Tyrolean Festival.
