Charles liked to bathe frequently, regularly, almost obsessively. Often he would invite his family, his peers, his warriors to bathe with him. Based on the element of water and its vital, ritual, cleansing and destructive character we create a show that is based on Charles' life, opening windows into his enigmatic character and troublesome history. An intimate, exceptional, abstract portrait that sketches the emperor in a sequence of dancing images. With music by Francis Poulenc.
