The soprano Lia Andres grew up in Basel and studied vocals at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and finished her master degree in music education. Ever since her graduation she takes private lessons with Jakob Pilgram and Roswitha Müller in Basel and with Mariette Witteveen in Den Haag. In addition to her concert activities, she works as a pcal pedagogue and is part of the vocal ensembles larynx, Voces Suaves, «Chor der Bachstiftung St. Gallen» and famm. Within her wide repertoire from Monteverdi to contemporary music, her focus is mainly on the interpretation of baroque pieces.
