LOÏC PAULIN

Tenor Loïc Paulin, born in Canada in 1992, sings a varied repertoire with a focus on baroque music. After studying in Montreal, he went to the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis to study with tenor Gerd Türk. As a soloist he has performed in numerous concerts featuring works of Telemann, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Monteverdi, Campra, Beethoven and Vaughan Williams. He has deepened the baroque repertoire with experts such as Peter Harvey, Emma Kirkby and Andreas Scholl. Under the direction of Helmuth Rilling and Hans Christoph Rademann, he has appeared several times as a soloist in the young Stuttgart Bach Ensemble of the Stuttgart Bach Academy. Loïc Paulin has played major roles in operas by W.A. Mozart (The Magic Flute), F. Poulenc (Dialogues des Carmelites) and M.A. Charpantier (La descente d'Orphée aux enfers). In addition to his work as a soloist, he works with several ensembles, including the Zurich Singakademie, the Voix Animées and the Capella Reial de Catalunya.
