Luca-Andrea was born in Basel in 1992, where he received his first dance lessons. First at the ballet school of the Theater Basel; at the age of 13 he was accepted at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, where he completed his basic training. He then studied at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts and had a guest contract with the «Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe». A great dream came true after completing his Master of Arts/Dance with a permanent engagement at the Bundesjugendballett 2013/14. Only one year later he danced with John Neumeier at the Hamburg Ballet and since the 2016/17 season he is a permanent member of the Nederlands Dans Theater. He has also worked as a freelance choreographer for several years, including in Hamburg and The Hague. In 2019 he created «Inferno» his first full-length work for the Origen Festival Cultural.
