MADISON YOUNG

 

Madison Young was born in Utah, USA. She received her education at Ballet West Academy and Houston Ballet Academy in Texas. After attending the Prix De Lausanne in 2016, upon receiving the Beau Riviage Palace 2nd place Award, she accepted an apprenticeship for Houston Ballet in the season 2016/17, where she was promoted to group dancer in 2017. For the season 2017/18 she joined the Wiener Staatsballet as a Corps de Ballet dancer under direction of Manuel Legris. In 2018 she was promoted to Soloist and in 2019 to First Soloist. With the beginning of the season 2020/21 she joined the Bayerisches Staatsballett as a First Soloist. In December 2021 she was promoted to Principal.

 

Roles danced include: Juliet in «Romeo and Juliet» (J. Cranko), Odette/Odile in «Swan Lake» (R. Barra), Giselle in «Giselle» (J. Coralli/J. Perrot/M. Petipa), Soloist Couple in «Jewels: Diamonds» (G. Balanchine), Cinderella in «Cinderella» (C. Wheeldon) and Hippolyta/Titania in «A Midsummer Night's Dream» (J. Neumeier).

 

At Origen she danced in «Der letzte Ball» (2018) by Eno Peci in the Julier Tower and in «Tempo Rubato» (2023) by Dustin Klein in Riom Castle.
