works for the textile company Jakob Schläpfer (www.jakobschlaepfer.com) since 1973 as an embroidery designer. He is a member of the management since 1989 and responsible for creation. In St. Gallen he designs the fabric for famous fashion designers all over the world. He has a say in tomorrow's fashion trends with his exclusive fabric designs. He made his mark in the fashion and fabric industry with his innovative use of metallic yarn in textile fabric. To meet the needs of the Haute Couture, there has to be an ongoing development of new techniques. Experimentation with new materials and shapes is essential for his profession. Martin Leuthold was awarded the Swiss Design Award and the Cotton Design Award for his work. He curated the exhibition «Bling Bling» at the Museum Zurich and the exhibition «StGall» at the fabric museum in St. Gallen.
