Olena Nechay, alto voice, born in Kiev (Ukraine), graduated with distinction in bandura and singing at the GLIER Conservatory there. She participated in international competitions in this field and won two first prizes and one Grand Prix. She also studied classical singing at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium and graduated with distinction.

Among numerous recitals she has given two solo recitals at the Bregenz Festival. Olena Nechay has appeared several times as a soloist in oratorios, among others with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, she also sang under the direction of Riccardo Muti and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. She has also appeared as a soloist in various opera productions.
