Of the arbitrariness of happiness. Dustin Klein and the dancers of the Bavarian State Ballet deal with the duel of virtue and vice, the whims of Fortune, symbolised in the medieval wheel of fortune.
superbia vs. humilitas, idolatria vs. fides, ira vs. paciencia, luxuria vs. temperantia. In Herrad from Landsberg’s 12th century illuminated manuscript Hortus Deliciarum, the Psychomachia illustrations depict the battles between the female virtues and vices. Overseeing these battles is the game show host Fortuna, deciding who will rise and who will fall by spinning the wheel of fortune.

HOW TO FIND US
Privately you drive, coming from Basel or Zurich, via Chur, Thusis and Tiefencastel towards Savognin. In Cunter, just before Savognin, you turn right and arrive in Riom. The parking spaces in the village are limited. Therefore, please park directly at the entrance of the village of Riom on the car park opposite the turnoff to the castle.
For this dance performance, we are also offering you a special PostBus trip on 26 July 2020. The fare is included in the entrance fee. A reservation for the PostBus ride must be made upon booking. You can find the timetable here.
