Patricia Friza studied at the ballet school of the Vienna state opera. 1997 she joined the Vienna State Opera Ballet under the direction of Renato Zanella. During that time, she created and worked with different choreographers. To name a few: Renato Zanella, Jiri Kylian, Hans van Manen, John Neumeier. In 2006 she joined the Hamburg Ballet-John Neumeier and was promoted to soloist in 2009. Important roles are Dolly in «Anna Karenina» and Amanda in «The Glass Menagerie». She also created many different ballets with young choreographers, e.g., «Foreign Sound» (2008) with Thiago Bordin or «Seelen Spiel» (2019) with Aleix Martinez, for the international draft workshop at the Linbury Theater (Royal Opera House).
