The Stuttgart born bass-baritone Ralf Ernst started his musical career with the boys' choir Wuppertaler Kurrende, with first soloist experiences in concerts and opera. He graduated with distinction from the universities in Cologne and Basel. he won several awards at international competitions and his repertoire reches from renaissance to avant-garde. Apart from his soloist performances, he is part of the ensemble of Th. Hengelbrock and T. Koopmann. He has guest performances at many festivals and is part of a musicology project that catalogues and performs musical findings from Austrian monastery libraries.
