The emigrant dynasty Carisch from Riom

 

Origen edited a richly illustrated history book about the rise and fall of the emigrant dynasty Carisch from Riom. The latest publication focuses on the young Lurintg Carisch, who left his home village Riom at the age of 16 and obtained money and reputation in Pairs. The book spans across a long time period up to Lurintgs grandson Charles Laurent Carisch, who died as the sole heir in World War I. - The historian Basil Vollenweider has investigated the Carischs, he explored archives and collected old photographs, which tell the tale of a remarkable emigrant family from Grisons.

 

The book is available at the Origen Festival Cultural in Riom and costs CHF 54.–.
