Born and raised in São Paulo, Thiago Bordin began his dance training in his hometown and completed it in 2001 at the Mannheim Academy of Dance. He danced at the Hamburg Ballet in the ensemble and as a soloist led by John Neumeier and was a member of the Nederlands Dans Theater from 2014 to 2016. Since 2001 he has been working as a choreographer in addition to his work as a dancer. For his works he received, for instance, the 1st prize as best young talent in Joinville and the German Dance Prize Future in the category choreography. Since 2018 he has been performing again on stage at the Staatsballet Karlsruhe, where he recently premiered his own ballet «Zukunft braucht Herkunft #soooeintheater».

In summer 2019 he performed «Inferno» for the Origen Festival together with Luca-Andrea Tessarini; in summer 2020 he was featured in «Elements».
