UNSOUND and CLOSENESS

UNSOUND

Benoît Favres choreography “Unsound” is inspired by Vaslav Nijinskys diary. Nijinsky moved in 1917 to St. Moritz and began writing his diary two years later. In those years he had his first hallucinations. Not even thirty years of age, he wrote obsessively and lost every relation to reality. Nijinskys diaries are a shattering yet great document about a man who bids farewell to the world, long before his death.

CLOSENESS

Emrecan Tanis choreography “Closeness” is primarily concerned with the crowded room, growing population and loss of intimacy.

Both choreographers live in Helsinki. Benoît Favre comes from Switzerland, Emrecan Tanis from Turkey. Principals from the Finnish state ballet and Pori Dance Company will perform.

Riding Hall | St. Moritz

We want to inform you, that we do not have a heating system in the riding hall. Please make sure, you take appropriate clothing with you. It could happen that people with a horse allergy have an allergic reaction, altough the building stood empty for a long time.
