grew up in Karls am Grossglockner. He received his training at the Tyrolean Conservatory and at the Bruckner University Linz as well as in classes with KS Brigitte Fassbaender and Prof. Peter Schreier. The tenor already performed at several Liederabende, singing Schuberts «Die schöne Müllerin» and «Winterreise» and Schumanns «Dichterliebe». in his musical activities he was able to work with conductors like René Jacobs, Piers Maxim and Dietfried Bernet and with ensembles like the Academy for Early Music Berlin, B'Rock, Capella de la Torre and the pianist Rolf Plagge.
